The CPU radiator is an important part of the CPU and the main heat dissipation device for the CPU. How much heat dissipation device does not disperse for a computer causes the CPU temperature to be too high, which will affect the performance of the CPU and thus affect the service life of the computer. So how to choose a good performance is important without saying more. When the CPU is running, it will generate a lot of heat, and this heat needs to be dissipated in time. If the CPU radiator is cost-effective, it is very important. At present, there are mainly three types of CPU radiators on the market, namely, air-cooled, integrated water-cooled, and split water-cooled. Which type of CPU cooler is better? Now let me introduce the knowledge of these three kinds of CPU coolers, let’s not say much, Let’s Go!
Air-cooled radiator
The air-cooled radiator is the most common CPU radiator in our installation. It is generally composed of copper pipes, cooling fins, and cooling fans.
The working principle of the air-cooled radiator: the CPU is connected to the radiator base, and the silicone grease is used as a heat-conducting material. The role of the silicone grease is to fill the gap between the CPU and the radiator base. When the processor is running and generating a lot of heat, the air-cooled radiator conducts the heat through the copper pipes to the heat dissipation fins, and the air flow generated by the rotation of the fan takes away the heat from the CPU to the fins on the fins, and finally achieves The role of CPU cooling.
Judging the quality of air-cooled radiators is mainly from three aspects: First, the quality of air-cooled radiators can be judged by the number of heat pipes. The heat dissipation of a CPU radiator mainly relies on the conduction heat of heat pipes and fan heat dissipation, so the number of heat pipes can largely determine the quality of the radiator; second, copper has very good thermal conductivity and is most suitable for heat conduction, but copper The price is more expensive, so the all-copper base basically only appears in the high-end CPU cooler. Third, the heat pipe transfers heat to the fins and dissipates the heat through the fins. Therefore, the quality of the fins determines the quality of the CPU heat sink. The denser the fins, the worse the heat dissipation. The more fins, the better the heat dissipation. , The larger the fin area, the better the heat dissipation, and the thicker the fin, the worse the heat dissipation.
Integrated water cooling radiator
The all-in-one water-cooled radiator is a recent radiator, and its heat dissipation effect is better than that of an air-cooled radiator. It mainly consists of two parts, namely the cold exhaust and the radiator head.
Compared with the air-cooled radiator, the integrated water-cooled radiator has three advantages: First, its heat dissipation effect is much better than that of the air-cooled radiator, and it is not affected by the high temperature in the chassis. Second, it is easy to install. The integrated water-cooling radiator is already installed at the factory. You don’t need to fill the water-cooling liquid by yourself, just screw the screws and other simple operations. Very convenient and fast. Third, it is safer. The water-cooling liquid is already filled before leaving the factory, so you don’t need to do it yourself, and you don’t have to worry about leakage.
Split type water cooling radiator
The split-type water-cooled radiator is basically only used by computer enthusiasts, because it requires relatively high hands-on ability and computer knowledge.
Split type water cooling radiator is composed of water cooling head (block), coolant, water pump, pipeline, water tank and cold exhaust.
The operating principle of the split water cooling radiator: the bottom of the water cooling head is connected to the core chip of the CPU, graphics card and other equipment (the graphics card can also be water-cooled radiator, but the fan that comes with the factory needs to be removed, and there are certain requirements for DIY ability), top Usually, there is a pipe opening, which is connected to the radiator through the pipe, and then the radiator is connected to the water tank, and the water tank is connected to the cold exhaust. The heat just taken out is discharged through the cold exhaust so that the CPU/GPU can work at a suitable temperature.
Working principle of water cooling
Compared with other radiators, the split-type water-cooled radiator has two advantages: first, heat dissipation is fast, and the liquid has a large capacity. When the temperature of the CPU rises suddenly, it is not easy to burn the CPU instantly. Second, the water-cooled heat dissipation system uses a pump to circulate the coolant in the heat pipe and dissipate heat. Unlike the air-cooled radiator, which requires a fan to dissipate heat, it has low noise.
Summary: For ordinary work and study, the current air-cooled radiator can meet the demand, and there is no need to buy a higher-priced water-cooled radiator. If the usual air-cooled radiator cannot meet the requirements, an integrated water-cooled radiator can be used, which is easy to install. If you have high hardware performance requirements and high hands-on ability, you can try a split water-cooled radiator.
